Job Description

Disability Rights New Mexico (DRNM), the state's federally designated Protection and Advocacy agency, seeks a dynamic, mission-driven CEO to lead the organization into its next chapter of advancing the legal rights of New Mexicans with disabilities. For nearly 50 years, DRNM has protected, promoted, and expanded the rights of people with disabilities through individual legal representation, systemic advocacy, abuse and neglect investigations, and public policy work across the state.

 

What We're Looking For:

·         A leader with 5+ years of senior nonprofit or legal-advocacy executive experience.

·         Deep commitment to disability rights, inclusion, and self-determination.

·         Financial and grant management expertise; experience with federal funding compliance.

·         Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across government, community, and legal partners.

·         Legal background (JD) a plus; not required for candidates with strong nonprofit executive leadership experience.
